Smells and such

All you nurses out there should be able to give me insight into this problem...sometimes after having a really smelly patient, I get a little sick to my stomach (this may be from being pregnant). While I am recovering it makes me really sick to watch someone else poke a patient. The strange thing about this is that it doesn't bother me when I poke someone. I don't quite understand this. Once the sick feeling goes away (which is usually after I can forget about the smell), I can watch without any problems. Why is this?? To date I have poked 108 people and haven't missed any veins in the last couple of days. I am feeling very confident, but also know that there is still a lot to learn. God didn't make anyones arm the same.

On the pregnancy front, I am 147 days pregnant (just under 5 months), and according to ivillage.com, baby is 7.5 inches long and between 13 and 16 ounces. His fingernails are fully grown and his organ systems are becoming more functional. Now if Rob would only give me back my ultrasound CD I could post some pictures!
